The ocean has always been my language. Every drawing, every motif, every nuance of my creations carries a fragment of it — a salty breath, a moving light, a memory of the beach.
In my world, seashells hold a special place. Little treasures brought back from the shore, they are like talismans. I love their pearly softness, their apparent fragility, and the silent strength they contain. Each shell tells a story, like a secret the sea has whispered in the earth's ear.
When I draw, I seek to translate this instinctive connection to the sea: the fluidity of the waves, the texture of the sand, the golden light on the skin. These symbols return naturally — a stylized seashell, an abstract wave, a burst of sunlight — like a form of writing that belongs to me.
Through Kaihana , I try to honor this connection, to share it and make it tangible. The silk scarves become fragments of the ocean that can be worn, a reminder of freedom and serenity.
The ocean is not just a backdrop: it is my guide, my anchor, my source of energy. And each creation, in a way, is an offering to this vast blue expanse that endlessly inspires me.
